Thruport's network monitoring services provide enterprises with additional comfort that your network connections, servers, and applications are operating properly, responding to user traffic, and processing transactions. When you lease any managed server or network device from Thruport, our basic monitoring service reports device availability, utilization, or failure, by employing various SMTP scripts to ping each managed node on consistent 5-minute intervals. Port monitoring activates additional techniques to notify Thruport and the enterprise, via phone, email, or pager, when specific ports (e.g., mail, web, file transfer, etc.) are closed, and thus, not accepting user processes. Application monitoring is customized to each enterprise's application platform. Here, we design and generate random application transactions to test sending mail, generating orders, processing a shopping basket, etc. or whatever your core application functions may include. Our goal is to make sure your hardware, communication network, and applications work when they need to work.
