About Thruport

Thruport's History

In 1991 Bruce M. Waldack founded digitalNation, a pioneering Internet firm that quickly became the world's largest dedicated server hosting company. Waldack's drive for success, business savvy, and hosting proficiency grew digitalNation by more than 300% a year and kept it profitable and debt free.

Waldack sold digitalNation to Verio in July 1999 and launched Thruport Technologies. Thruport designed and deployed ad serving and messaging solutions (AdJuggler and Jazz) that grew to become leaders in their respective markets. By early 2001, Thruport hosted over 1,000,000 mailboxes and served in excess of one billion ads per month. In late 2001, as the online ad serving industry was rocked by a decline in ad spending, AdJuggler sales continued to grow---based in part on the solution's popular feature set, but also consumer confidence in the stability of Waldack's wholly-owned operation.

In September 2001, Thruport acquired the technology for HotOffice, the critically acclaimed Intranet solution. Thruport re-vitalized the software and released it as "Thruport HotOffice" in December 2001. Hosted from Thruport's Alexandria, Virginia headquarters, Thruport HotOffice has already caught the attention of the media and promises to be a sales leader in the "groupware" category.

Throughout the past few years, Thruport has been approached by a growing number of customers dissatisfied with the customer service they're receiving with their current hosting providers.

Thruport is now available as an Enterprise focused Managed Hosting Center. Thruport envisions an environment where the hosting customer has the opportunity to communicate directly with senior engineers as often as possible and where each customer has the full attention of the Customer Care Department.
